🌺 OPENING CEREMONIES & PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

 

✨ SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20

10:30 AM — Thanksgiving Maya Ceremony

Join Mayan Priest José Magaña for a centuries-old ritual of gratitude and renewal.
This immersive ceremony uses copal, cacao, conch horns, and sacred fire to offer thanks for blessings received and to ask for support in the areas where we seek healing.

Guests are welcome to bring their own offerings for the traditional Maya altar, or write intentions that will be placed into the fire.
Duration: approx. 45 minutes – 1 hour

 

11:30 AM — Fair Opens!

Enjoy a full day of:

• Live talks, workshops, and cultural demonstrations

• Traditional tortilla making

• Jippy jappa weaving

• Organic meals and local artisan foods

• Hot and cold cacao drinks (chocolate as it was meant to be!)

• Local handicrafts — perfect for Christmas gifts

• Free water refill stations

• A juice bar (bring your own mixers!)

Closing Time: 4:30 PM

✨ SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21

6:30 AM — Maya Solstice Ceremony

Welcome the rising sun and honor ancient cycles of time with Mayan Priestess Gigi in this profound dawn ceremony.
Expect a deeply moving experience rooted in tradition, intention, and connection.
Duration: approx. 3–4 hours

10:30 AM — Fair Opens for Day Two!

3:30 PM — Sacred Cacao Dance (Crique Jute)

Experience the rhythm, beauty, and power of this traditional dance honoring cacao’s spiritual role in Maya culture.

Closing Time: 4:30 PM

Cacao, Crafts & Kulcha Fair is a celebration of Belizean identity — honoring Maya roots, supporting local makers, and showcasing sustainable living.
Explore gardens filled with creativity, meet the people behind Belize’s handmade goods, taste traditional flavors, and immerse yourself in our vibrant cultural traditions.

Chaos Oasis is fully off-grid, and we are committed to a fair that respects the land, the people, and the environment.

We encourage guests to bring:

• Reusable water bottles

• Reusable bags

Or pick up one of our limited-edition Kulcha Fair tote bags or reusable cups onsite!

Our eco-practices include:

• Compostable or reusable food packaging

• Organic, locally sourced meals

• Support for small-scale artisans and farmers

• Composting bins throughout the fair

• Recycling of all bottles — just look at our buildings to see how much we reuse!

Together, we can make this a joyful, low-impact celebration.
